How 24 Hour Emergency Dentist Can Stop Dental Pain
If you’re suffering from dental pain, we’re here to help! Toothache, infections and pain caused by dental injuries can make life unbearable. The good news is that we specialise in alleviating pain and putting smiles back on our patients’ faces.
How we stop dental pain
If you’ve been experiencing dental discomfort for a while, or you’ve developed sudden pain, we recommend giving us a call. Often, dental pain is a symptom of an underlying issue, such as decay, infection or a dental abscess, and the sooner we can get to the bottom of what’s causing you to feel uncomfortable, the better. When you come and see us, our expert dentists will take a good look at your mouth and try and ascertain the cause of the problem. They can discuss the treatment options with you and set about getting rid of that pain for good.
Treatment options
The treatments we provide for dental pain will depend on the cause. While painkillers and ice can help to provide temporary relief, we will aim to treat the cause to prevent recurrent bouts of pain. If you have an abscess, we will numb the tooth or the affected area of the gum tissue and then drain the abscess and remove it. If you have dental decay, the most common course of action is to fill the cavity. Placing a filling can be done under mild local anaesthetic and it usually takes less than an hour. If the tooth is broken or damaged, it may be necessary to place a new crown. In this case, a temporary crown will be fitted until we can fit your new bespoke crown.
If you’re struggling with toothache or you’ve got shooting or throbbing pains in your mouth, don’t suffer in silence. We have an experienced, compassionate team at the ready, and we’ll do everything we can to have you fighting fit again in no time.
